ma'azda is the second, southernmost house at Sunflower River. ma'azda is Lojban for "mountain house," a metaphorical homage to Mr. Hill, the previous owner of the house. We purchased this house in 2012 from the Hill Family, after Mr. Hill died.
The house is not safe to live in, and requires substantial work fixing numerous electrical, plumbing, and structural issues. We are doing this work as the ma'azda restoration project. We are currently working on the ma'azda cleanup.
The Story So Far...
at the 2013 retreat, we discussed the ma'adza master plan.
After purchasing this property in May, we contacted our arborist, Jeremy, to prune the cottonwood tree shading the house. To better integrate the two properties, we removed the chain link fence between them.
